TAYLOR, Robert J. - Passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness at the Stedman Community Hospice on Friday, Jan. 31st, 2014 in his 81st year. Loving father of Robert Jr. and Michael. Grandfather of Christina, Katlyn, Michael Jr., and Cora. He is survived by his sister Barbara Vizsy, of Brantford. Bob was a Korean War Veteran, having served in the Royal Canadian Navy. He received both the Korea Medal, and United Nations Service Medal Award. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave. on Monday from 10 - 11 a.m. A Funeral Service will follow in the Chapel on Monday at 11 a.m. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery. Donations to Pennies for Vets at your local branch of the Bank of Montreal, Canadian Veterans Advocacy - Pennies for Veterans Account: Transit # 0005, Account #1143-271. A tree will be planted in memory of Bob in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
