Obituary of Roy House

HOUSE, Roy Thomas - Passed away peacefully surrounded by family at the Brantford General Hospital on Wednesday, March 19th, 2008 in his 95th year. Beloved husband of the late Irene House (1979). Loving father of John, David and his wife Patricia, the late Elizabeth (2002), and Robert. Caring grandfather of Jennifer and Sarah House. Dear great-grandfather of Nadia Sweeney. Predeceased by his sisters Helen and Betty and his brothers Harold, Jack, and George. Roy was the longtime proprietor of the Brantford Coffee and Spice Company. He was a lifetime member of St. Jude's Anglican Church and a member of the Oddfellows. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Avenue on Friday from 2-4 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the St. Jude's Anglican Church on Saturday at 1 p.m. with Rev. Daniel Bowyer officiating. Cremation. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Roy in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
