Obituary of Ann Botuik

BOTUIK, Ann (nee Balog) - It is with sadness that we announce Ann's passing at Woodstock General Hospital on Thursday, March 6, 2008 in her 88th year. Ann leaves behind her husband Walter of 71 years. Dear mother of her son Albert (Kay) Botuik and daughters Pat (Sam) Avery and Barb Sahagian. She is also survived by her sisters Kay (Jack) King, Stella (Walter) Dawdy, Elsie (Hugh) Corbett, Jenny McIntyre and Mary Balog and brothers Nick (Kay) Balog, Bill Balog and Mike Balog. Much loved Baba of ten grandchildren, Allison, Jeffrey, Tracy, Deborah, Bryan, Michael, Jodie, Sara, Kristen and Geoffrey. Great-Baba of nine great-grandchildren, Jesse, Caleb, Keely, McKenna, Dimitri, Stephanie, Blair, Morgan and Luke. Ann is predeceased by her sister Helen Brillinger and by grandson Billie Avery. She was a longtime member of the Scotland Community. Friends will be received at the BECKETT-GLAVES FAMILY FUNERAL CENTRE, 88 Brant Avenue on Monday from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Monday at 1 p.m. Interment to follow, Scotland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Ann's memory to the Sakura Hospice, c/o Oxford VON, 570 Ingersoll Avenue, Woodstock, Ontario. N4S 4Y2. A tree will be planted in memory of Ann in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
