Obituary of Irene Heys

HEYS, Irene (nee Rook) - A new star will shine in the Heavens tonight. Irene passed away peacefully at Hardy Terrace, on Friday, November 22nd, 2013 in her 99th year. She is gone to be with her loving husband Jack (1996). Survived by her children Ken (Evelyn), Shirley Doering (Charles), Bob (Cheryl), and Carole Easton (Allan) Predeceased by her parents Frederick and Annie Rook, her son Doug (1990), granddaughters Patty (1986) and Sandra (2000), and her grandson Arron Snyder (2007). Irene is the last of her siblings to enter into eternal rest with her sisters and brothers Ann Cobden, Fred, Art, Doris, Herb and Tom Rook. She will also be fondly remembered by her daughter-in-law Sherrill, sisters-in-law Clare Kipp and Jean Wood, 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandson, and her many nieces, nephews and friends. Until we meet again, forever living in our hearts. Cremation has taken place. A Graveside Service will be held at Mt. Hope Cemetery on Tuesday, November 26th, 2013 at 3 p.m. A tree will be planted in memory of Irene in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
