GROVES, Edward H. "Ted" - Peacefully at the Brantford General Hospital on Monday, February 18th, 2008 in his 84th year. Beloved husband of Alice for 61 years. Loving father of the late Bruce Edward (1950), Jim and his wife Lois, Dick and his wife Kate. Dear grandfather of William, Leslie, Fabian, Danielle, Joshua, and Melissa Groves and Shannon Welch. Great-grandfather of Ella Groves. Also missed by his God-children Ryan and Angela Clarke and many other family members and friends. Ted was a Scout Leader for over 25 years. Family and friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Avenue on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. At Ted's request there will be no service. Cremation will follow. Ted's ashes will be interred at Mt. Hope Cemetery privately. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Brantford General Hospital Foundation would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Ted in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
