Obituary of Irene Kuntz

KUNTZ, Irene Ruth (nee Andrew) -Passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 12th, 2012 at the Brantford General Hospital, in her 91st year. Much loved wife of Richard Kuntz for over 56 years. Cherished mother of Carole (the late James) Trottier and Douglas (Susan) Kuntz. Dear grandmother of Andrea and Erica. Loving sister of Avis Nielsen and Lloyd Andrew. Dearly missed by Anica. Predeceased by her parents Julia and Sydney Andrew and her brothers Gordon, Ray, Cecil and Ken. She will also be missed by many other family members and friends. Irene was always very proud of her work at the Brandon Sanitorium, in Manitoba, and was a talented cook and world traveler. A long time member of the Brantford Garden Club and an avid square dancer. Friends will be received at the BECKETT - GLAVES FAMILY FUNERAL CENTRE, 88 Brant Avenue, on Tuesday, August 14th, from 12-1 p.m. A Funeral Service will follow in the Chapel at 1:00 p.m. Cremation to follow. Donations in lieu of flowers to the Alzheimer Society of Brant would be greatly appreciated by the family. A tree will be planted in memory of Irene at the Beckett - Glaves Memorial Forest.
