Obituary of Ronald Paul

PAUL, Ronald "Ron" - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Ronald Paul on Saturday, January 25th, 2014, in his 62nd year. Beloved friend and spouse of Kristine Paul, father of Ken and Rick (Joy) Paul and step-father of Joe Berry. Dear grandpa to Mikayla and Chelsea Paul . Ron also leaves behind his furry kids, Diamond and Rocky. Ron was predeceased by his parents, Vincent Paul (1992) and Eleanor (nee Sims) Paul (1982). He leaves behind his siblings Wayne (Lil), Lawrence, John (Maureen), Douglas (Marieta), Arnold (Connie), William (Shelley), Eleanor (Neil) Tompkins, as well as many cousins, nephews and nieces. Ron worked for 25 years for Hussmann's until its closing. He also worked for Walmart and most recently for Western Waffles. He played badminton and slo-pitch for the Knights of Columbus and the Laurel & Hardy League. Friends will be received at the BECKETT-GLAVES FAMILY FUNERAL CENTRE, 88 Brant Avenue, on Wednesday, January 29th from 6-9 p.m. Parish prayers will be held on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. in the Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, January 30th, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Assumption Parish (formerly St. Mary's Church), 133 Murray Street. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the St. Mary's Church Building Fund would be greatly appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Ron at the Beckett Glaves Memorial Forest.
