Obituary of Jozsef Laczi

In Loving Memory of Jozsef Laczi December 7, 1932 - May 15, 2025 Jozsef, Laczi passed away peacefully on May 15, 2025, at the age of 92. Jozsef was born on December 7, 1932, in Hungary. He met his wife, Piroska, in Italy, where they were married. Together, they bravely immigrated to Montreal, Canada, to start a new life together. Jozsef worked for many years as a roofer and was known for being a skilled handyman. He enjoyed gardening, volunteering at the Hungarian Hall, and playing cards with friends. Jozsef is predeceased by his wife, Piroska, and is now reunited with her in heaven. He will be missed by his daughters Theresa and her husband Peter and Elizabeth and her husband Sandor, his grandchildren David, Richard, Lisa (Mike), Sandor (Kincso) and Jessica (Charles); and his great-grandchildren Tony, Julia, Gabriella, Viktoria, Charlie and Scarlett. He is remembered by his brother Janos in Germany as well as other relatives in both Germany and Hungary. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre on Monday, June 9th, from 10:30 am until 11:00 am. A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel at 11:00 am. Live web-cast of the funeral available starting at 10:50 am. Following the service, only family will attend the burial at the cemetery.
