Obituary of Mary Flaherty

Flaherty, Mary Louise- Passed away in her sleep at her residence on Monday, February 24th, 2025 at 82 years of age. Loving mother to Michael Flaherty and Kelly Flaherty (Rob). Cherished grandmother of Christine Flaherty-Plourde (Erika), Sean Flaherty-Plourde, and Danielle Flaherty, and great grandmother to Remi Flaherty-Tran. Survived by her brother Bryan Greenwood. Predeceased her sisters Connie Boone (Bill), Anne Dey (Robert) and Susan Fitzpatrick (Gary). She will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. Mary had a passion for helping people leading her to a successful career as a nurse in Toronto General Hospital and many Long Term Care facilities in the Brantford and Toronto area. Her sense of humor, love of reading, gardening, the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Toronto Blue Jays will be remembered by all who knew her. She was also very passionate about politics, and was a talented piano player in her youth. To honour Mary's legacy, family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life on Saturday, March 1st, 2025 from 1-4 pm at Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave., Brantford, 519-752-4331.
