RANDORF, Michael Joseph With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of the leader of our family, Michael Randorf, on February 12th, 2025, at the age of 82. He was the beloved husband of Marie (nee Lato) for 60 years. Mike was the proud father to David (Laura) and Deedee Crosland (Kent). He was a cherished Grandpa to Kyle, Blake, Trevor, and William. He was a dear brother and best friend to Paul (Paula), Stephen (Sandy), and Peter, and brother-in-law to Loretta (Brian), Annie, and Cathy (Mark). He will be remembered by his many nieces and nephews in Ontario and British Columbia. Mike was born in Toronto, son of Willard and Sheila. When he and Marie married in October of 1964, they immediately went about building a life together on a foundation of family, friends and fun. Nothing made Mike happier than a house full of people all sharing in the Randorf tradition of a wonderful meal accompanied by laughter and stories. There was always room for one or two more at his table and Mikey’s motto was “better to have too much than not enough”. Throughout his life, Mike loved people and people loved him right back. He was an outstanding, attentive father to David and Deedee. His son and daughter had varied interests and busy schedules, and Mike supported both every step of the way his entire life. He was immensely proud of David and Deedee and loved to boast of their accomplishments. Mike’s four grandsons, Kyle, Blake, Trevor and William were truly the joys of his life. Whether it was a hockey game, a baseball tournament or a school event, Grampa Mike never missed a moment, cheering with great pride for everything they did and often coaching them from the stands. He most certainly was their biggest fan. Mike had the great fortune to share his life with his one true love, Marie. Mike and Marie indeed were a love story. Mike’s devotion to his wife of 60 years was complete and on display for all to see. They built a wonderful life together and he cherished the woman who built it with him. Mike’s love for Marie will live on. The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the caregivers at the BGH Cancer Clinic, VON Clinic and Home Care, and the Stedman Community Hospice for their exceptional care and compassion. Marie, David and Deedee would also like to specifically acknowledge Paul and Paula, and Stephen and Sandy, for providing a great deal of care, support and comfort to Mikey in his final years. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held in Brantford at Polish Hall on Thursday, February 20th, 2025 from 12-4 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Joseph’s Lifecare Foundation in Brantford would be greatly appreciated. Please remember Mikey with a toast in his honour. Michael Randorf will be remembered fondly by his friends and family. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted with Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave., Brantford, 519-752-4331. A tree will be planted in memory of Mike in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest. Cheers, Mikey.
