Please share a memory of Donald to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Oles, Donald Richard - Passed away peacefully at the Brantford General Hospital on Monday, February 10th, 2025 in his 90th year. Born to Matthew and Minnie Ellen (Lickers) Oles, beloved husband of Helen (Kutsche) for 66 years, loving father of Kimberly (Ken) Austin, Suzanne (Gilles) Power and Lori (Gary) Oles-Flaherty. Don was a lover of music, animals and baseball. He sang, played piano and guitar. He cheered on the Toronto Blue Jays faithfully and cared for the many animals that crossed his path in life. He was also a gifted sketch artist.
The family would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the medical professionals at the Brantford General Hospital who helped in the care and comforting of Don as his life ended and he passed into the loving arms of our Lord. A special thank you to Dr. Jarrel, Dr. Downie, Dr. Leger and the Nurses and Nursing Staff in the BGH Palliative Unit.
Family and friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre on Wednesday, February 19th from 11 am until 12 pm. A memorial service will be held in the chapel at 12 pm. Donations to the Ontario SPCA or The BCHS C7 Palliative Unit would be appreciated.
A tree will be planted in memory of Don in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
