Condolences
More than just my agent, I considered Dave a trusted family friend. He was always available when we needed him...not just with sound advice but with a joke or two. I will truly miss seeing his warm smile.
My deepest condolences to his family.
Q: What will you never forget about David?
A: David took my family in and helped us find a home when we had no credit and no support but we were a hard working new family and he took our word and helped us do what we needed and all just out of his heart where no one else would and it was a huge stepping stone for our family and I will never forget that. It’s hard to find people like David that will just do things out of the kindness of his heart and he was so easy to talk too. RIP David
David helped us sell two houses and purchase one. His personality was magnetic and his smile instilled confidence. I will always remember during a telephone negotiation selling one of our houses, with a wink and a smile he asked for and received another $20,000 over the "final" offer. He made it seem so easy.
From the cars he drove to his appearance with hardly a hair out of place, I'm convinced if the Fonz had a younger brother it would be David. Yes he was cool.
Although we were just clients he always treated us as friends and his passing has left a hole in our hearts.
Our deepest sympathies to Suzanne her family
I worked with David many years ago in the car business at Aiport Ford.
We only kept in touch through social media!
Now that he is gone I am sad that I didn’t keep personal touch with him because I always respected him. He was always there for his customers and looked after their best interest.
He always spoke highly of his family and friends!
Once you lent us your trailer and your gigantic image was parked right outside the entrance for months. Every time one of us opened the door it scared the bejeebies out of us, lol. But you could always fill the room with your big presence and a unique sense of humor that made us laugh. We are deeply saddened by your loss. Dave, you were there for us through difficult times and beyond. Your unwavering guidance and dedication have played a significant role in who and where we are as a family today. We wish we could have returned the favour.... Thank you, Dave. You will be forever missed. Sending endless strength and love to all the children, family and friends during this very difficult time.

We’re very sad to learn of the passing of Dave. Our deepest condolences to his family and friends and especially his beautiful children.
Q: What was one of your favorite qualities of David?
A: His charm and that beautiful smile got me everytime. May you rest peacefully now Dave.
My wife and I are heartbroken with Dave’s passing and would like to offer our deepest sympathies to Suzanne, Matthew, Daniel, Jakob, and Ariana during this difficult time. Dave was not just an incredible realtor who knew what we were looking for but a wonderful person we were lucky to count as a friend. His kindness, warmth, and talent made a lasting impact on us. Dave was so special that heaven could not wait to have him open a branch and find the perfect homes for all the angels and saints. Wishing peace and comfort to Dave's family and friends during this difficult time. He will be truly missed.
First I’d like to offer my sincerest condolences to Dave’s family during this incredibly difficult time.
I have a hard time putting in words how shocked and saddened I am to learn of Dave’s passing.
I first met Dave 20+ yrs ago at sunbreak and realized I recognized him from coaching soccer. We struck up a conversation that day and that became a habit every time we saw each other, talking about anything that was on our mind, UFC, business, houses, cars. Always enjoyed our conversations whether they were 5 or 30 minutes.
As the years went on we used Dave to purchase both houses we’ve had, and again enjoyed his company, conversations and expertise while looking. This of course landed us on his annual gift list which of course was appreciated but looked forward to seeing Dave annually and catching up as he was always so happy to ask how we are and share what he’s been up to.
Again, I am so deeply sorry to all of Dave’s family and close friends, this is such a devastating time I hope the happy memories of Dave break through the sadness in time.

Dave, not only were you an amazing colleague but a friend. You will always be remembered for your kind words, your genuine love, your big smile and your amazing friendship. From our quick calls to touch base to our Sherkston neighbourly visits - you will be forever missed! Rest in Peace my Friend

I was saddened and devastated to hear the news of Dave's passing. He has gone way too early. I had a long time professional relationship with him, and I am disappointed that it is at an end. My condolences and sympathy go out to Suzanne and to all of David's children. I hope they all have many great memories of times spent with Dave, to help sustain them through this difficult time.
Deeply saddened by the loss of our dear friend Dave. Our condolences to his family. We loved him too.
Dave, you were such an awesome person. The amount of things you’ve done for sooo many people , myself included, is unreal. Not many people out there like you. I absolutely miss you, I love you! I still can’t believe this is real, I just want one more breakfast chatting about life, One more night talking smack, just a moment with you. I was blessed to have you in my life and to have you as my friend , thank you for that. Until we meet again xo
So shocking & sad to hear of Dave’s passing. He was always so cheerful & full of jokes in high school. My sincerest condolences to his family. RIP Dave. ❤️
David was a true professional. I had the pleasure of working with and for him as a tradesperson. He was the friend and realtor that we turned to when we were dealing with my Dad’s estate. He will be deeply missed.
I’d known David for about 15 years now and was immediately impressed him in many many ways. He sold our home in Ancaster many years ago and as I was in sales myself, I let him know he was the best salesperson I had ever known, in the best sense of the word, honorable, hard working and honest. We kept in touch over the years . I spoke with him just a little over a month ago and he was as always full of energy and plans. He was a great mentor for my daughter Brittany as she was getting experience in the real estate industry, he gave selflessly of his time and sharing of his experience. His incredible success was no surprise to me and well deserved. When I was at his beautiful home I could see the love he had for his children and how he placed them on the highest pedestal.
To say he will be missed is an understatement. He was a force of nature and a force for good. God Bless David and may he rest in eternal peace.

I am truly sorry for your loss, Susan. I am glad we had a chance to meet again last year. Please accept the heartfelt condolences from all of the cousins on this end. Love, Janice
You leaving this world has left such a huge void in the lives and hearts of family and friends. When someone as influential as Dave leaves this Earth it can be felt immeasurably. You motivated us in our business endeavor and helped our friends and family countless times. If we needed ANYTHING you were on top of our list of people to call. It has been such a blessing to have had you in our lives and our inner circle. Our gym will sound empty without your dad jokes and laughter. We will truly miss you Dave.
Much love from Alex and Nadine Ruska
Sending my virtual hug and sincere condolences to Dave's Family , may he rest in Peace.
I only knew dave on a professional level, and that he was, always the consummate professional, a tough negotiator but a fair negotiator, I always got the sense that he strived to achieve "win-win" outcomes.
Here's to you Dave, and Thank you for the professional moments we shared together
Sending my deepest and most sincere condolences to all of Dave's family and friends. In reading all the very wonderful, heartfelt and meaningful messages from his friends and colleagues, he definitely left and indelible and lasting impression on all those who knew him and loved him. You are all in my thoughts and prayers, and will remain there during the very difficult times ahead.
Sue and Jeff, there are no words that can describe the loss of a son and a brother. My heart goes out to you and your entire family. With love and hugs.

I knew David quite well. I always enjoyed our conversations regarding real estate, and more importantly "life!"
I want to express my deepest condolences to David's family at this brutally hard time.
I, for one, was privileged to having had the pleasure to meet and converse with Mr. David McKinnon - a true professional & a real gentleman.

Dave, there are so many good memories that we hold deep in our hearts. We are so sad that you are no longer on this earth. I'm truly at a loss for words and deeply saddened by your loss. I've had the privilege of knowing a remarkable individual, both a gentleman and a positive force in our business interactions over the past decade. Please accept my heartfelt condolences during this difficult time.
What a loss you have all suffered. Sue my memories of Dave as a boy growing up, and seeing that brilliant smile have flashed across my heart so much in the past few days. It saddens me more to think I missed having a visit with you both this past summer. Please know that you are all in my heart this day and forever.
Words can't express how sorry I am to hear about Dave's passing. Condolences to Dave's family.
I've rarely met someone who inspired me to be an overall better human being. Dave was a lighthouse. Everyone who got the chance to experience Dave left with an unforgettable impression ; he was that powerful of a soul. I told Dave many times, he is the man I looked upto as a model for career and family success. I will remember you and your impact will live on in me as well as all those you invested in. Thank you for everything.
Feeling extra grateful that I got to see David various times over the past few years when he was in St. Stephen, NB. It was a pleasure to have him stop into my family's Diner and chat with him about old times and to catch up on recent happenings. His bubbly personality and friendliness will be forever etched in my memory of him. Also glad to have met his lovely kids! My condolences to his entire family and many friends.
My deepest condolences to the whole family and especially to Suzanna and all of Daves children. I cannot imagine the pain you’re all experiencing right now. Please know that my heart goes out to you during this incredibly difficult time. Wishing you strength and comfort in the days ahead
I am deeply heartbroken by the passing of Dave. Words feel so small in the face of this loss, but I want to honor the incredible person he was.
Dave was more than just my first boss, my realtor, and my mentor—he was a true friend, a guiding light, and someone I deeply admired. He carried wisdom with grace, supported me with kindness, and believed in me in ways that made me believe in myself. His laughter, his warmth, witty jokes, and his unwavering generosity touched so many lives, including mine.
I wish he could have seen himself through our eyes—how deeply he was loved, how profoundly he mattered to his family friends and co workers. The world feels a little dimmer without him,
Rest in peace, my dear friend. You will never be forgotten
My deepest condolences go out to his wife, children, family members and all the friends Dave made in his lifetime.
Dave, you will forever be my favourite Agent! We miss you more than we can imagine. Until I can hear you say “YO” again, I’ll keep you close to my heart! Sending the biggest love to David's wife; Suzanne, his children Matthew, Daniel, Jakob, Ariana and his entire Family. Until we meet again... Ciao for now.
I am profoundly sad at your loss!!! There is nothing I can say other than my thoughts are with you.
I am so sorry to learn of Dave's passing. I am a Realtor who worked with Dave over the years- he was a great guy. My condolences to the family andf his friends.
Suzy the girls and I send our deepest condolences to you, Mathew, Daniel, Jakob, Ariana and all of Dave's family and friends. Dave was such an amazing person, full of so much love, humour, opinions, ideas, guidance and support. He was always there for the girls and I when we needed him, offering a helping hand, offering words of wisdom and advice. He definitely got us through some tough times and he has left a lasting imprint not only on our hearts but all who knew him. He had so many stories to share, his laugh was infectious & his quick wit was second to none!
The girls and I will always cherish our memories! Some of the girls favourite times with him and our families was our visit at Sherkston Shores; having fun on the golf cart, dinner and his funny Spanish lesson, the Gingerbread House contest with Revel Reality, bonfire time, and he taught Julia how to play pool. He gave the girls lasting advice to get through their tough times! He has left a void in the hearts of so many! Rest easy Dave, you are loved and missed so much by all!
We love you Suz, Jae and Ari, and are always here for you!
Seeing Dave come into the salon with Suzy always put a smile on my face. He was always bright, cheerful and ready to listen. Always down to share stories (which were my fave) and give little tips to make life and work a little easier. I will always cherish those memories and the kindness both Dave and Suzy always showed me.
I was truly saddened to hear about Dave’s passing and I am sending all my love to his family, friends and everyone who loved him.
Some of my favorite memories of him that we often laughed together about: 1. When we first met at his tanning salon and he got into a heated discussion with my colleague and I knew I liked his style then lol. 2. Him hammering a for sale sign into my lawn with a broken arm. 3. Our embarrassing gym/workout fails. 4. How excited he was to get his new super fast sports car lol. Other memories I will always hold close to my heart will be how he was always there for me. No matter what he was a phone call away. We talked about anything under the sun and gave each other advice and support. I will forever be grateful for our friendship.
Dave was a great man. During hard times it was clear he was there for those in need, including myself when going through a rough patch. He gave great advice & was proud of the person he had worked so hard to be. Sending prayers, strength, and healing to Suzanne, Dave's children, close family and friends. May your memory live on. Rest peacefully.
David was so eager to help us find a suitable home that would also accommodate my parents. Availability of our needs was marginal at the time and he could sense our worry, but he was great in assuring us he would find the place that 'checked all the boxes'. It was always a pleasure speaking with him because he showed genuine interest in our lives. We thought very highly of Dave and share in his family's loss. He will be remembered and missed. Rest in peace Dave.
My heart goes out to all of Dave's family. Words of sympathy seem completely inadequate. Sending a warm embrace during this sad time. Sending Matthew, Daniel, Jakob and Ari strength today and peace in the days ahead.
Rest in peace my friend,
Lisa Comtois
