Obituary of Robert Stremler
Please share a memory of Robert to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Stremler, Robert- It is with deep sadness that the family of Robert (Bob) Stremler announces his peaceful passing on February 3, 2025, at the age of 83. Bob was born on January 17, 1942, and above all else, he treasured his family. His greatest joy came from being with those he loved, talking about sports, telling us something new about farming, or simply sharing time together. Bob is survived by his devoted wife, Lola, with whom he shared more than 59 years of love and companionship. His children, Rob (partner Robin), Kim, and the late Jeff (wife Terry), meant the world to him. He was also a loving and proud grandfather to Jesse and his wife, Damien, who brought him endless joy and were an important part of his life. Bob is also survived by his sisters, Betty (husband Harry Hallema, deceased) and Engeline (husband Leo Spriel, deceased), his brothers, Allan (wife Lynda), Herman (wife Heather), and his in-laws, Bart and Evelyn Kramer, both of whom have passed.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the wonderful staff at Brierwood Gardens and the Victorian Order of Nurses (VON). Their care, compassion, and support went above and beyond, providing Bob with not only excellent care but also the kindness and comfort that made a difficult time more bearable. We are forever grateful to them. In accordance with Bob’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral or service.
Arrangements have been entrusted with Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave., Brantford, 519-752-4331. The family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to W. Ross Macdonald School or Community Living Brant in Paris, two organizations that were close to Bob's heart. Bob’s legacy will live on through the lives of those who loved him. He will forever be remembered as Bob, Dad, and Pake, and will be missed deeply by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
A tree will be planted in memory of Bob in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest
Rest in peace, Bob. Your love will never be forgotten.
