Obituary of Pearl McNeill

McNeill, Isobel Margaret “Pearl” passed peacefully at St Joseph’s Lifecare Centre, Brantford on March 4th, 2021. Pearl was born in 1937 in Whitburn, Scotland to James and Elizabeth Stevenson. She married her beloved husband Bert in March 1956 and they emigrated to Canada together the next year. They were blessed with 56 wonderful years together before his death in 2012. Pearl is the loving mother of Rob (Jackie) and Karen. Predeceased by son Bill. She was a devoted grandmother to Rob, Steven (Alyssa), Ann (Matt), Mike, Eric and Krsytal (Jesse). She will be fondly missed by her 16 great-grandchildren. Survived by her sisters Martha (Slim), Christine (Ross) and Pauline (Matt). Predeceased by her siblings, John (Joan), James (Betty), Samuel (Ann), David (Georgina), Phillip, Peter (Liz). She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. The family would like to send a sincere thanks to the staff of St Joseph’s Lifecare Centre for the incredible care they gave Pearl in the last months of her life. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave. Brantford, 519-752-4331 on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 from 6-8 p.m. A private funeral service will take place on Wednesday, March 10, 2021. The live webcast of Pearl’s service will commence at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the St. Joseph’s Lifecare Centre Foundation. A tree will be planted in memory of Pearl in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
