Condolences
It is with a heavy heart that I write this. My sincerest condolences for the loss of this kind hearted gentleman. For many years, our family were regular customers at the Egg & I and would stop and chat with Don either on the way in or out. I’ll always remember him leaving 2 twoonies propped on their sides for the waitstaff. May your many happy memories comfort you in the days ahead. He will be missed.
Keeping you all in my prayers. Bob and Wanda Vella (& family)
My deepest condolences to the family. I’ve known Don since the McKerlie days and shared many a laugh with him. If he can’t find any Beemers to ride with I know some Harley guys that would love to share the road with him. He is missed by many. Brian Squance.
Deepest sympathy to Don’s family. Memories of Don during our years together at “McKerlies” brings a varied list of activities to mind. Who could forget his Corvair collection or his enjoyment in organizing our Wednesday night hockey games. Don’s passion for details he exhibited by his work on crankshafts
My condolences goes out to the Douglas family, Don was fantastic human being, There wont be another one like him, , A true giant among men ,but such a humble man. A true gentlemen , we will all miss him.
Thinking of the family in this time of grief.
Don was one of the great ones, he built a few engines for me, but what sticks in my mind the most is that in my early years as a Piston Pusher Don took me to the Polish Hall and taught me how to drink beer at the age of 18, knowing Don he probably taught others this lesson too, fun times, good memories.

We are so sorry to hear of the passing of Don. He was a dear friend of our dad, Jack Wilks, and we all have great memories of riding motorcycles together. He was a very talented and generous man, and he will be greatly missed.
The Mountjoy family, Bob, Edie, sons Jeff and Greg, and grandchildren would like to send our deepest sympathy to Leon, Dawna, and Dan on the passing of their dad. Don was a beloved friend to Bob and I and we will truly miss him. From early days of Bill’s Drive-in in the late 50’s to to the long weekends at the track, we will remember the good times. He was one-of-a-kind. Anyone needing advise or questions about any engine, Don was the man to see. We will miss his drag racing and hot rodding stories of days gone by especially around the camp fire at Kohler Dragway. Don was a true friend to all of us and he certainly will be missed. Thanks for the memories Don.
