Obituary of Lawrence "Larry" Ewens

With sadness, the Ewens family announces the death of LAWRENCE “Larry" BRUCE EWENS. He passed peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Hamilton Ontario on Wednesday August 26, 2020. His loving wife, Brenda, was by his side. Larry was funny, dynamic, generous, and hard-working. He was a talented guitar player and singer, a lover of history, the written word, old cars and beautiful guitars. He was a loyal friend, an attentive brother, beloved by his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, and a respected source of of support and guidance for everyone in his life. He lives on in the hearts and memories of his wife, Brenda; children, Shaughn and Shirley Coyle, and Casey and Jay Ewens; grandchildren, Christopher and Meaghan Coyle, Patricia Coyle-Dart, Faith Seth, and James Evans; and great grandchildren Nancy and Norah Hutchinson; as well as his sisters, Barbara Novack and Christina Atyeo. Following his wishes, there will not be a service. Instead he will be cremated and his ashes scattered at Mont-Orford, in the Eastern Townships of Quebec by his son, and grandson. Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted with BECKETT-GLAVES FAMILY FUNERAL CENTRE, 88 Brant Ave. Brantford, 519-752-4331. A tree will be planted in memory of Larry in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
