Obituary of Olive Rush

RUSH, Olive Amelia - Went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, December 15, 2007 at the Stedman Community Hospice, in her 67th year. Beloved sister of Marianne Schram, Bernice Beney, Bruce Rush and Grant Rush and his wife Doreen. Loving aunt and great aunt to many nieces and nephews. Cherished cousin of Lewis (Mary) Laidlaw, Bob (Marian) Laidlaw, Bill (Stella) Newitt, Hilda Newitt and many others. Olive is predeceased by her parents Fred and Sarah Rush and by sister Isabel Draper. She will be sadly missed by many family members and friends. She was retired from Burtch Correctional Services and enjoyed her Avon for many years. She was an active member of Burtch Baptist Church and involved in the Ladies Mission Circle. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Avenue on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Celebration of Life will take place at the funeral home on Thursday at 11 a.m. As an expression of sympathy donations may be made in Olive's memory to Burtch Baptist Church Memorial Fund or to the Stedman Community Hospice in Brantford which would be greatly appreciated by the family.
