WEST, Anna Peacefully on Tuesday, February 20th, 2018 in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late Joseph West. Loving mother of Joanne West Metzger and John West. Devoted grandmother of Matthew and Margaret Metzger. She is predeceased by her sisters Mary Skodiak, Helena Kmec, and Natalie Wilson, brother Chester Skodiak, and step-sister Olga Preston. She will be fondly remembered by niece Susan Meitner, nephews Stephen Dobrus, Russell Wilson, Jr., Kenneth Skodiak, and other family members and friends. Anna was a retired employee of Woolco/Walmart Brantford, member of St Pius Parish, Beckett Centre euchre club and neighbourhood euchre group, Brantford Garden Club, Mohawk Bowlerama bowling league. Special thanks to the staff at Idlewyld Manor and Regina Mundi Parish for their care and support in Anna’s final years. Friends will be received at the BECKETT - GLAVES FAMILY FUNERAL CENTRE, 88 Brant Avenue, Brantford, on Sunday, February 25th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, February 26th, at 10 am at St Pius X Roman Catholic Church, 9 Waverly Street. Internment at St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society would be greatly appreciated.
