Obituary of Sharon Vamos-Rigg

Please share a memory of Sharon to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Sharon Rose Vamos-Rigg (nee Vamos) All love stories are beautiful, but ours was my favourite. Sharon’s life energy transitioned peacefully onto a different plane of the universe on October 3rd, five days shy of her 65th birthday after a long, courageous and hard fought battle with cancer. She was predeceased by her father Joe and is survived and greatly missed by her husband Bob Rigg, daughter Adrienne Vamos, mother Helen Vamos, brother Martin (Stephanie, Chelsey, Ashton, Jonathan, Hilary) and sister Joanne (Bob Yuhasz, Mia), integrated family, Laura , Brian, Miller and Sloane Pearce and Aaron, Patty, Jackson and Zac Rigg, plus many extended family members. Sharon loved life, time with friends and family, couples game night, yoga with all her yogies, reading, gardening and travelling to all corners of the planet with the universe now opening up to her. Many thanks to all the wonderful, empathetic and compassionate staff in the BGH and Juravinski cancer centers that treated Sharon. A special reach out to the teams of palliative care and Stedman’s Community Hospice in Brantford for making the last part of her journey as comfortable as possible. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Stedman Community Hospice in Brantford would be appreciated. Shaz, you are loved by many and missed by all that had the opportunity to share your energy. Our 14 years of love, comfort and adventure together were way too short. ….if only we were both single when we first met those 41 years ago. When my time comes to transition, you will hear the universe softly whispering to you, Honey I’m home …. lumu. Cremation has taken place and a private service was held at Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave., 519-752-4331. An open house drop in celebration of Sharon’s life will be held at 60 Beckett Drive, Brantford, on Saturday October 28th from 2-4 pm. A tree will be planted in memory of Sharon in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
