Please share a memory of Marilyn to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Phelps, Marilyn E.

Peacefully at the Stedman Community Hospice, Hankinson House on Friday, Sept. 22nd, 2017 in her 72nd year. Beloved wife of Roger for over 48 years. Loving mother of Julie, and Sarah. She is survived by her father Donald (the late Mary) Smith, and her brother Gary (Angela) Smith. She will also be fondly remembered by her brother-in-law Robert (the late Lillian) Phelps, and her sister-in-law Joanne (Frank) Groppmair. Predeceased by brother-in-law Ronald (Dorothy).  She will be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. Marilyn was an avid volunteer, humanitarian and traveller, who lived life to the fullest, always volunteering her time to many different causes and friends, mostly notably Nova Vita, in Brantford. She was always positive and full of energy. She taught everyone, by example, to "not sweat the small stuff", and "live in the moment." Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave on Tuesday, Sept. 26th from 2 - 4 p.m. and on Wednesday, Sept. 27th from 10 - 11 a.m. A Memorial Service will follow, in the Chapel, on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Cremation has taken place. Donations to Nova Vita, Brantford would be appreciated.

A tree will be planted in memory of Marilyn in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
