Peacefully, surrounded by loved ones in his 62nd year, Leonard Van Snyder passed away at the Brantford General Hospital after a hard fought battle against cancer. Beloved husband of Mary. Loving father of Tyler (Jessie) and Trevor (Marsha). Cherished grandfather of Ethan, Brooklyn, the late Reece, Riley and Bruno. Dear son of the late James and Mildred Snyder. Brother to Jim (Sharon), the late Melba, Wayne (Audrey), Cookie, the late Phil, Margo, Bill (Henriette). He was known as uncle Lenny to many nieces and nephews. He will be missed by many friends and family. At his request cremation has taken place. A Graveside service will be held at Mount Hope Cemetery, 169 Charing Cross St. Brantford on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to BECKETT-GLAVES FAMILY FUNERAL CENTRE, 88 Brant Ave. Brantford. In honour of Leonard, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Brant County SPCA would be appreciated.
